Deck the Halls

Deck the Halls

To get into the festive spirit, I am sharing some of my favorite holiday decor items.  It's our first Christmas in a new house, so it's pretty exciting and to the dismay of my significant other, I want to buy everything.  He keeps telling me we need money for things like a snow blower (lame), while I would rather invest in things like marble Christmas tree figurines and pom-pom garlands.

Snow Day!

Snow Day!

I ordered this cardigan and hat from Nordstrom last week and I am so glad I did because both items were perfect for the weather.  I'm absolutely obsessed with this cardigan.  It comes in three colors and it's a very chunky, thick knit which is great if you are like me and are always cold.  I'm also in love with this floppy wool hat that comes in five different colors.  It's perfect for those "I washed my hair three days ago" type of days.

My Favorite Fall Cardigan

My Favorite Fall Cardigan

This casual, neutral outfit has quickly become one of my “go-to” staples for fall.  I bought this cardigan during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I am contemplating getting it another color.  I always see fashion bloggers post things like “wearing this shirt on repeat” and I think to myself…you post three different outfits a day, there is no way you wear anything on repeat lol.  However, in this case, I really have worn this cardigan every single chance I’ve had.

Jumpin for Joy

Jumpin for Joy

For today's post, I wanted to share this super cute jumper I got from ModCloth.  I'll be honest - I had perused the ModCloth website in the past, but I never bought much.  However, once I actually visited the pop-up shop and got to see and touch the merchandise up close, I was really impressed with the style and quality.  I had been looking for a jumper for the fall, but was a bit nervous because I didn't want something that would make me look too young.

Wear-to-Work

Wear-to-Work

I've recently been trying to find more staples to add to my work attire.  Express is one of those places that always has great wear-to-work pieces that are also still fashion-forward.  I have to say, I haven't shopped at Express in quite some time, but decided to try a few items this summer.  I absolutely love their Portofino blouses.  They come in so many great colors and patterns and can be paired with everything from jeans, to dress pants, to skirts.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - Home

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - Home

If you follow any other fashion or style bloggers, chances are you've heard them talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  It's Nordstrom's biggest sale of the year and unlike your typical sale where you are rifling through racks of last season's duds, the Anniversary sale is all brand new fall merchandise and prices will actually go up after the sale ends.  Since I just bought a new house, I am smitten with all of the adorable home items in the sale.

Splurge vs. Steal - Denim Edition

Splurge vs. Steal - Denim Edition

I always love the "splurge vs. steal" sections in magazines and have wanted to do some of my own here on the blog.  For the first edition, I decided to do jeans - for one because we live in jeans and two there is such a wide range of prices.  I mean I found a pair below for $7.50 - literally less than I paid for lunch.  Read on and let me know which are your top picks!
