Jumpin for Joy

With all the election talk lately, can we all agree to vote for a three-day weekend?  I feel like I need a day to be productive and catch up from the week, a day to have fun and then a day to just totally veg out.  A three-day weekend is something I'm guessing we could all agree on.  I went into the weekend with a lot I wanted to accomplish and of course, like most weekends, I barely scratched the surface.  I did have time to visit my gram and came across a super cute flower store / pumpkin stand while I was driving to see her.  They had the most unique pumpkins I have ever seen...so even though I have already spent way more on pumpkins than necessary...I couldn't resist taking a few of those babies home with me.  I think I might have a problem.

For today's post, I wanted to share this super cute jumper I got from ModCloth.  If you missed my post about the ModCloth pop-up shop that visited Pittsburgh, you can check it out here.  I'll be honest - I had perused the ModCloth website in the past, but I never bought much.  However, once I actually visited the pop-up shop and got to see and touch the merchandise up close, I was really impressed with the style and quality.  I had been looking for a jumper for the fall, but was a bit nervous because I didn't want something that would make me look too young.  Actually, I guess I always want to look younger...but you know what I mean...some overalls / pinafores can end up looking too childish.  I fell in love with this one because it's the complete opposite - it's totally chic and "adult."  I love the high waist and the simple straps with button detail.  I paired it with a simple black turtleneck, but I think it would also be adorable with one of the trendy bow-tie blouses.

And great news - ModCloth's Friends and Family sale is currently going on.  Just enter code F13m64G for 25% off and free shipping on orders over $100.  I think the sale is ending soon, so I would check it out asap!

Finally, a huge thank you to my friend, Lauren from Wellesley & King.  She took the photos below and totally nailed them.  These are also basically totally unedited because I always run out of time to do any editing.  She is still booking mini holiday photo sessions, so if you're interested, definitely check out her site and get in touch soon!
