Since we are finally heading into some spring weather, I thought it would be a great time to bring back a “Trending” post. If you’ve walked into a clothing store, gone online shopping, or opened a magazine, you’re probably well aware of the “off-the- shoulder” trend. It’s literally everywhere. Whether you want to rock a dress, romper, blouse, or casual tee, you can easily go with an off-the-shoulder option to have an instantly updated style. In addition, this style runs the gamut from casual to dressy, bohemian to sophisticated, long sleeve to short sleeve – the options are endless! Check out some of my favorite examples below and let me know if you’ll be rocking the off-the-shoulder trend this summer!
I think my favorite way to wear the off-the-shoulder trend is with a short summer dress. There’s just something about this style – especially when it’s loose and flowy, that just screams “vacation” to me! There are SO many off-the-shoulder dresses out there right now, it was extremely difficult to pick only four. I liked all of the options below because they can all be worn dressed down and casual or easily dressed up.
2. Maxi Dress!
I love maxi dresses for summer. When I can be dressed up, but feel as comfortable as I do wearing sweats, it's a win! Being 5 foot nothing sometimes makes it difficult to find a maxi dress in the proper length...your tailor should become your best friend. The options below are all great - just beware of the price tag on the last one! It was just too gorgeous not to include!
3. Tees and Blouses!
Again, what's so awesome about this trend is that you can keep it totally cool and casual (like the second option below) or really dress it up with a flirty, flowy option paired with some great heels.
4. The Cold Shoulder!
It's clear that showing some shoulder is the way to go this summer. However, not all shoulder-baring styles are your typical "off-the-shoulder" design. The options below feature gorgeous cut-outs that turn a basic blouse into a head-turning statement piece.
5. One of Each Please!
These beauties were some of my faves and I just had to include them. I seriously want one of each!
