Hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend! I have to work Monday, but then have Tuesday off - so it's sort of an extended weekend. As much as I wanted to spend this past weekend relaxing and sitting poolside, there is still so much to do before this baby's arrival. I keep telling myself that I need to push through now and get organized, so that I can enjoy the time once he gets here. I made a small amount of progress on the nursery and we purchased most of the items that were left on our registry, so we're making baby steps toward everything being ready. I don't know about any of you mamas out there, but pulling the nursery together is hard. I swear every night I plan on making progress, then I end up sucked into nursery ideas on Pinterest and before I know it, three hours have passed and I am completely confused again about how I want the nursery to look. First world problems I know.
So, it's been quite awhile since I did an outfit post. Between preparing for baby and launching my events business, the blog has had to take a back seat. Well and also maternity clothes are seriously awful for the most part, so I really didn't feel like putting on an ugly outfit and having my picture taken! I have to say that ASOS Maternity has been one place that I have been able to find maternity pieces that are actually stylish. Most of their maternity clothes are also pretty affordable, which I can't say for a lot of the "trendier" maternity brands out there. I can justify a lot of purchases, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend over $100 on dresses that I would literally wear for a couple of a months. The dress I am wearing in this post is actually on sale for $13! I've definitely been drawn to more of the fitted maternity styles. I think it's my petite frame, but when I try to do the flowier pieces, they just completely overwhelm me and look ridiculous. Special thank you to Lauren of W and K Photography (she did our baby announcement pics here) for taking these photos and helping me dip my toes back into the blogging waters. She has a new Instagram account dedicated to her photography business - you can check it out at @wandkphotography.
