Splurge vs. Steal - Spring Trends

Although it hasn't felt like it, it is in fact officially Spring.  Though I still wore a sweater dress to work today, my shopping has been focused on Spring.  There are a bunch of great trends right now and you don't have to eat Ramen for the rest of the month to be able to afford them.  Though I love having the designer original item, it's typically not worth investing a ton into trendy pieces.  Thankfully, there are plenty of dupes and budget friendly options this season!  Check out some of my favorites!

This Spring's "It Bags" are the perfect compliment to your gingham dresses and open-toed wedges.  If you follow bloggers, you've probably seen the Clare V. Alice Bag everywhere.  It comes in a couple colors (like this black version) and is absolutely adorable, but there are also plenty of dupes out there if you don't want to blow your spring budget on just one bag.

Gingham is literally everywhere this season.  The popular squares are showing up in every color on items from dresses to shorts to tops.  Of course, my absolute favorite is black and white gingham and I am obsessed with dresses in this fun print.  I actually bought two of the ones below...whoops.

Overalls, jumpsuits and rompers are super popular for spring!  Denim overalls are great because they go with basically anything and can be dressed up or down.  I love the quality of Madewell denim, but if you're looking to spend a bit less on a trendy item, the H&M pair are a great affordable option.
