Catching Up!

Hi friends!  Since it's been quite a while since I've gotten a post up here, I wanted to share a little life update.  I feel like time is absolutely flying (I'm sure a lot of you can relate).  Guys, Arlo is going to be ONE next month...actually in like 2.5 weeks.  Everyone tells you that time flies when you have a baby, but WOW this seems crazy to me.  Of course, I am super behind planning his party and I am trying to remind myself that I don't need to go overboard.  I'll just keep repeating that to myself and see if it works.  I'm also planning my wedding for this December.  I did really well at first and booked all the big vendors.  Then I hit a lull and I am trying to get back into if before it's  November and I'm like oh crap - I am getting married next month!  Our venue is Slate Studio in the Strip District.  I love it because it's basically a blank space, so we'll be able to really make it our own.

I've also been busy with my wedding and event planning company, Olive & Rose Events.  I feel really "hashtag blessed" to truly be working with some of the most amazing couples right now.  I also finished up two styled shoots this Spring that I am really excited about sharing with everyone very soon!  If that wasn't enough, I recently began working as a Stylist with Mac & Mia.  It's a Chicago-based start-up that works with some of the best children's brands and puts together curated boxes that are delivered straight to the client's door.  I wasn't sure what to expect from the role, but I am honestly really loving it.  It's been a great way for me to remain involved in the fashion and retail industry and working for a start-up has been a really cool experience.  The hard part is not spending my entire paycheck on more clothes for Arlo!  Matt jokes that he has a bigger wardrobe at 11 months then Matt had in his whole life lol.  If you want to check it out, you can use my code: KIMBERLYA for $20 toward your first box!

Phew!  I think that's enough of an update for now!  The dress I'm wearing in this post is from Hello Molly.  It was my first time ordering from them and I was a little worried to be honest.  However, I was pretty happy with my purchase!  The only bummer is that if you need to return something, they only do merchandise credit.  I did end up sending two things back and the process was pretty easy and the credit showed up in my account right away.  I actually just placed my second order with them, so we'll see how it goes this time!
