I'm back with more Friday Favorites! Is it just me or does Friday come quicker and quicker? I guess that's a good thing! Happy Easter - enjoy your weekend friends!
1. Favorite Egg Project!
I don’t intentionally seek out other Pittsburgh bloggers to feature in Friday Favorites, but they are just so talented that their posts end up becoming my favorite things of the week! One shining example this week are these incredible hand-painted floral Easter eggs done by Zoe of Zoe with Love. Look at the egg with lashes and a flower crown!! Her post will also teach out how to make these adorable egg mini vases. Sometimes I think I am creative and then I see things like this and am blown away at the creativity and talent. I know I encourage you to check out a lot of different Instagram feeds – but seriously if you love florals, fashion, and gorgeous interiors, you need to be following Zoe! And check out her post to get the full instructions for creating these beautiful eggs on your own!
2. Favorite way to greet out of town wedding guests!
I am currently working on hotel welcome bags for one of my May weddings. I think creating welcome bags is such a fun project and a great way to greet guests who might be visiting from out of town. I’m hoping to do a future post on all the items I recommend for the perfect guest bag. In the meantime, check out these adorable, customizable totes from Wedding Chicks!
3. Favorite online wedding dress shopping guide!
I’m pretty sure everyone that reads my blog probably understands I am slightly obsessed with Victoria at Burgh Brides. LOL. I talk about her and her blog all. the. time. If you’ve checked out Burgh Brides, then you know there is very good reason for my obsession! This week her article, “5 Unexpected Websites Where You Can Find Your Dream Wedding Dress” completely blew me away! I was expecting a list of the usual online bridal stops – J-Crew, Nordstrom, etc. Instead, I was happy to find sites that I never heard of – or at least never thought of for wedding dresses! For those of you that prefer shopping via the World Wide Web for your dream dress, check out the post.
4. Favorite place to grab beautiful blooms!
Trader Joes flowers!! If you know, you know. If you don’t know, Trader Joes has the best flowers that are really, really affordable. I stopped in for some flower stalk and ended up with tulips, lilies, and cala lily! These babies are a sure fire way to bring a little spring to your home.
5. Favorite boutiques celebrating big things this week!
This week I was honored to interview Kathryn of Rosewood Boutique in Sewickley. Check out the post! Her beautiful boutique will be celebrating it's 5-year anniversary and she just posted details on the celebration happening April 8,9, and 10th. Follow Rosewood on Facebook to keep up on all the events including a braid bar, manis, eyelash extensions, florals, and more! On Saturday, I attended the opening of another fabulous new vintage shop, Juju in Point Breeze. The owner, Leslie, is a fellow Mercyhurst grad and I am 100% certain this city is going to fall in love with both her and her wonderful new store! Congrats to both of you inspiring ladies!
6. Favorite smelling candles!
Made in Pittsburgh…Mt. Washington to be exact. I mentioned previously that I have one from Christmas and I won’t burn it because it smells so good and I don’t want to use it all!! Check them out – I can promise you that you won’t be disappointed!
