It's snowing...again...in Pittsburgh, so I'm sharing one last post from my trip to the west coast. I didn't know much about Sausalito before visiting and it wasn't even a spot we had planned into the itinerary. However, I instantly fell in love with this beautiful San Fransisco Bay Area town. With it's azure blue sea, rolling coastline, and gorgeous homes set into the hills, one would think they were strolling Italy's Amalfi Coast. (The only thing missing was George Clooney). Sausalito is a harmonious mixture of quaint fishing village, tourist destination, and an enclave for wealth and luxury. Houseboats, yachts, and sea lions all inhabit the gorgeous glassy water. It's certainly easy to get lost for a day visiting the shops, pubs, and spas nestled into Sausalito. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck at the Barrel House Tavern where the view of San Fransisco off in the distance is truly incredible. This picturesque town is easy to reach either by ferry or a quick trip over the Golden Gate Bridge.
