Hi friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. If you were out celebrating St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, hopefully you are fully recovered by now! As much as I love a green beer, I can't quite recover from a day of drinking like I used to! I mentioned on Friday that I was going to see Singin in the Rain at Heinz Hall. It was a lot of fun and afterwards we went to Sienna Mercato where I stuffed myself with meatball sliders and tater tots slathered in gravy and cheese. Amazing....but definitely going to be opting for a salad today to balance those calories out!
Today I'm sharing one of my favorite new dresses from Nasty Gal. I first heard about Nasty Gal one day at work and was a little hesitant to google it from my work computer. Seriously, I did not want to have to explain to our IT guy why I was googling those words if something risqué popped up! However, it turns out Nasty Gal is an incredibly hip, edgy, amazing place to shop for clothing and accessories. When I stumbled upon the book, #Girl Boss, written by Nasty Gal's founder, Sophia Amoruso, I instantly fell even more in love with the company and what it stands for, I highly recommend the read for all the "girl bosses" out there. The dress below almost feels a little 70s to me with it's mock neck and short A-line silhouette. I decided to play up that decade and add a cobalt blue bag for a color-blocked look. Since it's still too cold to go with bare legs, I paired the dress with some cute thigh high black socks. Yes, Alicia Silverstone rocked them 20 years ago in Clueless and I will never stop trying to bring them back!
“Abandon anything about your life and habits that might be holding you back. Learn to create your own opportunities. Know that there is no finish line; fortune favors action. Race balls-out toward the extraordinary life that you’ve always dreamed of, or still haven’t had time to dream up. And prepare to have a hell of a lot of fun along the way.”
