I truly can't believe it's already time for proms and graduations! First of all, congratulations to everyone graduating this month - especially those of you with families and jobs that decided to go back to school. It's certainly no easy task! Feeling nostalgic, I decided to go back to one of my old college campuses to walk around and take a few photos. Since Erie and NYC are a bit of a drive, I decided the Point Park Campus in downtown Pittsburgh would be my closest and best option! (No love lost to my Mercyhurst and FIT peeps - some of my best friends and happiest memories came from those two places!!) However, about three years ago, I decided that working three jobs...yes three....was not enough on my plate, so I signed up to begin taking courses toward my MBA at Point Park. Again, it was no easy task, but two years later (which actually flew by), I graduated with my MBA in Sport, Arts, and Entertainment. Let me tell you....there is a big difference between the college experience at age 19 living on campus compared to college at age 31 with jobs, bills, and real life responsibilities. Though my experience in grad school probably wasn't as much "fun" as what I had at age 19, I still benefited from amazing professors and left with some pretty great connections, as well as friends. To be totally honest, I think I am just a big nerd at heart when it comes to school. If it didn't cost money, I think I would just be in school for the rest of my life. There's something about group discussions and the smell of a new textbook and writing the perfect research paper....well like I said, I am a big nerd at heart. :)
So enough about school...let's talk fashion! Today. I'm wearing another one of my new favorite summer dresses. The color is so cheery and I am in love with the silhouette - especially the drapey V-neck in the back! I absolutely LOVE midi-length dresses and skirts, but sometimes when you're short (like 5 feet nothing), this length can be difficult to wear. However, I think the shape and the slit in this dress make it totally wearable - even for us vertically challenged ladies! I felt like some neutral accessories and simple gold jewelry was all this dress really needed.
Thanks for stopping by friends! Be sure to check back this Wednesday for a new post - and we might just be announcing another awesome giveaway! XOXO
