I feel like I haven’t written in awhile since I profiled the lovely Niki last week and Victoria this week. The last two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind with prepping for two weddings this month, hosting the first ever Style Social last week, and yes – starting a new full-time job this past Monday. Perhaps I am a glutton for punishment…but I don’t think my body would know how to react if I wasn’t stressed or constantly juggling ten different projects at once. Maybe one day I'll learn how to relax...until then, well here we are. Today, I wanted to get back to basics and share an outfit post with pieces that represent a couple of the trends you’ll be seeing for fall. Probably the biggest trend you are seeing everywhere right now is 70s-inspired fashion. Think flare legs, short A-line skirts, vests, and fringe (in moderation). The oversized bow on this blouse is a great nod to the 70s...though these bows have shown up in various decades. The skirt represents another huge trend this fall: menswear inspired fabrics. Here think tweed, herringbone, and houndstooth. I feel like these prints make a comeback every fall, but this year they are really popping up everywhere from skirts to jackets to shoes! And let's talk about the lace detail on the skirt hem - totally pulls the entire outfit together! L-O-V-E. What fall trends are you most excited to wear?!
