Style Social - Emy Mack Collective

On February 10th, the third Style Social was held at Emy Mack Collective in Shadyside.  My Style Social girls - Ashley from Afternoon Espresso, Tori from Wear Wag Repeat, Niki from Style Studs and Lace, and I - teamed up once again to host an interactive networking event for Pittsburgh fashion bloggers, boutique owners, local media, and just general lovers of fashion!  Our first Style Social at No. 14 in Lawrenceville was simply a way to bring like-minded women together with gorgeous clothing and cocktails - we really weren't sure what to expect - or if anyone would show up at all.   However, after the success of the first event, we decided we wanted to do more and held a second Style Social at Kristi Boutique in Aspinwall.  After that event, I guess you could say the rest is history.  It's been wonderful to see the events grow - there are new faces at each one, but also familiar faces which is really awesome!  I have made countless wonderful connections - many have even be featured here on the blog like Lauren from Wellesley and King and Christen from the Thrifty Yinzer.  Everyone that I have met has been super talented, extremely welcoming, and always inspirational.

For our third Style Social, we decided we wanted to hold the event around Valentine's Day because honestly how cute would the decorations be?!  Emy Mack, with it's selection of incredibly gorgeous shoes, was the perfect setting for our party which we themed "Sole Mates."  Get it?  If you haven't been to Emy Mack - seriously run, don't walk and be prepared to want one of everything!

In order to maximize our “Sole Mates” theme, we went wild with reds, pinks, hearts, and lips!  Guests were treated to Ashley’s always decadent cupcakes, heart-shaped Rice Krispie treats, and chocolate covered pretzel sticks.  We were so excited to partner with Pennsylvania Libations who kept the wine flowing throughout the evening.

The Style Social team strongly believes in providing a fun, informative, and interactive night for our guests.  For this event, we once again partnered with Laura and her incredible team from the Shadyside Sephora.  Three lucky volunteers got a professional red lip application and all of our guests marveled at the new Sephora make-up app that actually takes your photo and allows you to try on different lipstick options!  We also had the lovely Leslie from Juju doing love tarot card readings for guests.  Finally, we wanted to partner with a charity for this event and chose one of my personal favorites, the Animal Rescue League.  Guests donated much needed shelter items for a chance to win an awesome gift basket!

Now on to the fun part - all the beautiful ladies that have made our events so successful!  I can honestly say I have loved meeting every single one of them and I hope that in the coming months I can feature even more of them here on the blog!

Until next time...if you're interested in hosting, attending, or sponsoring our next Style Social, e-mail me at kimberly@yeswearthat.com.  We also have a private Facebook group for Pittsburgh-based fashion bloggers, boutiques, and media where we further collaboration and  provide event updates - just search "Style Social Pittsburgh" on Facebook and request access.  And keep using the hashtag - #StylishPittsburgh!  XOXO

Thank you to the talented Leandra from K Lux Photography for all of the beautiful photos!
